Solstice Days - Information

Welcome to my website, I'm Jo and I live in South Yorkshire.

Pre-loved, Pretty and Practical, upcycling fabrics to create one of a kind items items.

Inspired by the films Yanks (1979) and The War Bride (2001) where people had to ‘make do and mend’ using fabrics to create new items and so my interest in sewing and recycling began. I've made clothes and curtains for myself at sewing classes but otherwise I'm self-taught.

My website gallery www.solstice-days.co.uk shows a range of handmade items including shoulder bags, shopping bags, homeware items including peg bags, quilts, table runners, braided rugs and sewing machine covers.
Also small items such as fabric keyrings and coin purses.

Fabric left from projects is made into purses for the Sew Powerful Purse Project
(see information on Charities I support further down this page)

Handmade in Yorkshire, some are my own designs and I have a commercial licence to make and sell bags by Rae Hoekstra.

**ITEMS ARE MADE IN A SMOKE FREE HOME**

**PAYMENT : I accept Paypal, however you do not need a Paypal account to make payment, you can pay by debit or credit card which will be handled by Paypal ( this will not incur any type of fee)

**POSTAGE** - I use Royal Mail recorded (signed for) service to make sure that your handmade item arrives safely. Items are posted twice a week, items can only be posted to the address on your paypal acount/debit/credit card.

**POSTAGE** When two or more items are purchased, any excess P&P will be refunded via paypal once I have been to the post office for a price to make sure the items are charged at the correct weight**

**PACKAGING** - The prices above are what Royal Mail charge for postage and I'm charging a bit extra towards packaging and wrapped in tissue paper

**FREE POSTAGE & PACKAGING** - This only applies to full priced items, not on items on sale or any other offers.

**SALE ITEMS** - Please note, items are not wrapped in tissue and I recycle packaging, there is postage & packaging to pay on for sale items.

**PLEASE NOTE** - Items are listed for sale elsewhere and may be withdrawn from sale on the website if sold elsewhere.

**RETURNS** - We operate a returns policy of 14 days after your purchase.
Sorry, but we are unable to accept returns after 14 days of receipt. If you return an unwanted item to us within 14 days of receipt, we will refund back the amount you paid for the item.**

**RETURNS** Sorry but I am unable to offer free returns, you will be responsible for paying for your own postage costs for returning your item. Your item must be returned unused, unaltered and in the same condition that you received it and if possible the original packaging**

**RETURNS** Please pack your return with the same care & attention as when it arrived with you. Once your return is received , an email will be sent to notify you that we have received & accepted your returned item, however a return may not be accepted if the item is damaged by unsuitable packaging and is unable to be re-sold, then sorry no refund will be offered.

**REFUNDS** Your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. Sorry, I do not refund the postage for your item, only the actual cost of the item**

I use Royal Mail signed for service to make sure your handmade items arrive safely, a signature is needed on delivery. Items posted twice a week.
